Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Kayla. I received my Bachelors degree in Social Work in 2018 at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and I received my Masters degree in Social Work in 2019 at Aurora University. I have experience working at a Residential facility working with foster care children and teens. I also have experience in private practice working with adolescents, college age individuals, and adults.

My approach to therapy

I enjoy working with teenagers, college age girls, adults and new moms. I am passionate about working with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, daily stressors, life transitions, anger/behavior management, social skills and pregnancy/postpartum. I can provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Strength Based Therapy and Coping Skills. Ultimately, I believe that building rapport and creating a safe space where you can be yourself is most important.

What you can expect from me

My goal for you is to feel supported, validated and know that you are never alone. Seeking therapy can be scary, but I’m here to make the transition as comforting as possible. Taking the first step is the hardest part, but I promise it’s worth it!
