Great to meet you!

Kayleena earned her counseling degree from the Ohio State University in 2019. She is passionate about providing a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for her clients to facilitate healing and personal growth. Her professional experience spans outpatient counseling, school-based mental health and crisis response, and diagnostic evaluation.

In her current position, Kayleena serves teens, college students, adults, and families navigating relationship struggles, life transitions, trauma, and neurodivergence.

Kayleena has also served as an educator to counselors-in-training, in leadership development and training with the Ohio State University Suicide Prevention Program, as a volunteer mental health professional with Kesem (a national non-profit dedicated to serving children through and beyond a parent's cancer), and as a team lead for county-level trauma response.

My approach to therapy

Kayleena believes that the rewarding work of counseling can only occur within a relationship built on trust, safety, and respect. She works with her clients to create an individualized treatment plan and tailors her approach to meet their unique needs. She draws from several modalities including CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and EMDR, while remaining culturally sensitive and trauma-informed.

What you can expect from me

Kayleena strives to meet people where they're at and act as a steadying force as they navigate life's difficulties.
