Great to meet you!

I am a queer, non-binary clinician with ADHD. I have my Master's in Social Work, and I am certified in treatment of trauma, ADHD, and Autism. I work primarily with adolescents and young adults, ages 13-35. I work best with people in the LGBTQ+ community and/or who are neurodivergent. I also enjoy working with people with substance use disorders, complex trauma, and dissociative symptoms.

My approach to therapy

I take a radical feminist and anti-capitalist approach to therapy, exploring the impact that oppression and discrimination has on one's mental health and well-being. I believe each client is the expert of their own lives, and I work in collaboration with my clients to find the treatment approach that works best for them. I am knowledgable of the needs of neurodivergent clients, including accommodating communication styles, use of visual aids, and providing clear session structure when needed.

What you can expect from me

Our first few sessions will be focused on helping me to get a full picture of my client, including not only presenting symptoms/problems, but also relevant factors such as social supports, family structure, medical/health history, trauma, strengths, and important values/beliefs. Typically, I work with clients to build an understanding of their emotions and emotion regulation skills, improve interpersonal relationships and communication skills, and engage in meaningful activities that are aligned with their values.
