Great to meet you!

Maybe you’ve been holding a lot lately and you’re tired of carrying it on your own. I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use recovery, burnout, and relationship difficulties. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I ran a recovery-focused intensive outpatient program (IOP) for 2 years, and I’ve worked across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Whether you’re early in recovery, coming from a higher level of care, or just starting to notice that something feels off, these are experiences I know well. I also believe healing doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time. There’s room in our work for laughter, humor, and real connection, and for the reminder that joy can still show up, even during hard seasons.

My approach to therapy

My approach is gentle, collaborative, and focused on your strengths. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps us look at how your thoughts, feelings, and actions connect. I also use Positive Psychology, which builds on what’s already working in your life, and Motivational Interviewing, which helps you sort through mixed feelings about change and find your own reasons for it. When other approaches fit better, I bring those in too. We’ll shape our work around what feels most helpful and meaningful to you, at a pace that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

If you’re feeling nervous about your first session, that’s completely normal, and you don’t need to prepare anything. Think of it as a conversation more than an interview. I’ll ask open-ended questions about what brought you to therapy, what you enjoy doing, and what’s already helping you get through the harder days. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as you’re ready to. If you’re not sure why you’re here, or it’s hard to put into words, that’s okay. We can figure it out together, one question at a time, with no pressure to have the “right” answer. My hope is that you’ll leave feeling understood and accepted as you are, and maybe a little lighter, with a clearer sense of the strengths and coping skills you already have to build on.
