Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 20 years of clinical experience. I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area by Japanese American immigrant parents. I work primarily with Asian Americans, adult individuals, couples and college students specializing in anxiety, depression and relationship problems.

My approach to therapy

My style is warm, engaged, and practical. I tailor my approach based on my client's unique needs and what would be most helpful to him/her. I view therapy as a collaborative relationship.

What you can expect from me

Typically the first session is an introduction to therapy and for the client to get a feel for how I work. I will review the intake form with the client to make sure I understand why the client is coming to therapy and what they're hoping to achieve. Then together, we will discuss a plan to help them reach their therapeutic goals.
