Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome! I'm Keena Armstrong, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, birth doula, and passionate advocate for individuals and families navigating life's many transitions.

I believe that every person has a story worth hearing, a life worth nurturing, and the capacity for growth and healing. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, or simply trying to find your footing during a difficult season, my goal is to provide a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move forward.

My passion for helping others extends beyond the therapy room. For the past seven years, I've had the privilege of serving as a birth doula, supporting individuals and families through pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum experiences. I have a deep appreciation for life, the beauty of new beginnings, and the many emotional, physical, and psychological transitions we experience along the way. This work has strengthened my commitment to maternal mental health, reproductive wellness, and supporting individuals through fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, postpartum adjustment, and parenthood.

Above all, I believe that healing is not about becoming someone new, but about discovering, understanding, and embracing who you are while creating room for who you are becoming.

Whether you're beginning therapy for the first time, returning after time away, or simply seeking a space to process life's challenges, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

You don't have to have everything figured out to begin. Sometimes, taking the first step is enough.

My approach to therapy

I believe you are the expert on your own life. I am not here to tell you who to be or what your healing should look like. I am here to walk alongside you, ask the hard questions when needed, celebrate your growth, and help you make sense of the things that sometimes feel impossible to untangle on your own.

I am the kind of therapist who will sit with you in the pain, make room for the tears, and meet you in the moments when you don’t have the words to explain what you’re feeling. You don’t have to pretend to be okay here. You can show up as you are, even when you feel overwhelmed, uncertain, frustrated, or simply tired of trying to hold everything together.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, begin building trust, and explore what brings you to therapy.

We will talk about what has been going on in your life, what feels most important to you right now, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, conduct an initial intake, and hold space for you to share at will. Therapy is a relationship, and feeling safe, heard, and respected matters. I welcome your questions, your honesty, and even your uncertainty about the process.

We may identify some initial goals or next steps, but there is no expectation that we solve everything in one session.

You only have to bring yourself. We will figure out the rest together.
