Great to meet you!

I am originally from New York and earned my Master’s degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 2018. In 2019, I relocated to Florida, where my professional journey has allowed me to work with individuals across a variety of mental health settings, including community mental health, mobile crisis, and inpatient psychiatric care. I became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in 2023 and now provide therapy through my private practice, Sincerely, Your Mental Health, PLLC.

Mental health has always been a passion of mine, and I genuinely enjoy helping people better understand themselves, recognize patterns, and develop skills that create meaningful change in their lives.

I believe who I am outside of the therapy room also influences the warmth, curiosity, and authenticity I bring into my work. While I take the therapeutic process seriously, I also want clients to know that therapy does not always have to feel overly formal or clinical. My goal is to create a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, talking openly, learning about yourself, and doing the work necessary to create the life and patterns you want moving forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and focused on helping clients create meaningful change in their everyday lives. I primarily use a cognitive behavioral approach to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify patterns that may be contributing to current challenges and work on developing healthier ways of thinking, responding, and coping.

I believe therapy should include both reflection and action. Understanding where certain patterns come from is important, bug I also encourage clients to focus on what is within their control and what they can begin doing differently. Sessions may include challenging unhelpful thoughts, recognizing behavioral patterns, strengthening boundaries, practicing communication skills, developing coping strategies, and identifying realistic replacement behaviors, as well as resources like worksheets or videos.

What you can expect from me

During our first session you can expect to have the space to elaborate on the information shared in the initial consultation call, review policies, and collaborate on a treatment plan that will best fit your needs. You can expect me to provide psychoeducation regarding basic coping skills for you to start practicing. You can also expect a space to ask questions and for us to start to create a space free of judgement.
