Great to meet you!

Parenting through emotional or behavioral challenges can feel overwhelming, and it’s not always easy to know where to start. Earning your trust and helping you establish a secure, empowering baseline for your family's care is an honor I hold deeply. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and families navigating anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioral challenges, executive functioning concerns, and school-related stress. Because I am both a therapist and a school-based social worker, I understand deeply how emotional and behavioral struggles can impact daily life at home, in school, and in relationships. Beyond working with youth, I also work closely with parents to build practical tools that support growth, confidence, and healthier family dynamics, addressing issues like family conflict, divorce, codependency, and dual diagnoses. I’d be honored to partner with your family as your child grows and heals.

My approach to therapy

I believe that genuine emotional growth flourishes when we balance rigorous, evidence-based practices with a deeply authentic human connection. My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and fiercely strengths-based. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, and social-emotional skill-building to help clients develop practical coping skills and emotional awareness. When appropriate, I also integrate play-based or experiential techniques to help children build confidence in a way that feels natural and engaging for them. By blending these clinical tools, we will outline tangible goals tailored to your family's unique needs, ensuring that our work in the therapy room translates into meaningful, sustainable progress in your everyday routine.

What you can expect from me

Reaching out for support takes immense courage, and my hope is that our initial meeting acts as a quiet refuge where you and your family can safely step away from the heavy demands of daily stress. Whether we are meeting via telehealth or in person at my Aurora or Colorado Springs locations, I strive to cultivate a calm, welcoming environment right from the start. We will gently explore your history, symptoms, and the specific challenges that brought you to therapy at a natural, comfortable pace without any pressure to share everything all at once. My primary goal is to create a supportive space where children feel safe, understood, and empowered, while families feel guided and supported throughout the entire process. By the end of our first session, we will collaboratively design a clear roadmap tailored entirely to your client-centered goals.
