Accepting New Clients 7/27/26

Keith Karabin, MSCC, LPC is known for his joyful “never give up” approach to living well--even after 30 years of counseling experience. As a person on his own healing journey, Keith relates to each client with hope, judgement-free and most of all, as equal partners in their growth. Keith also offers individual and group Licensed Professional Counselor supervision.

Keith works with nearly anyone. He has crafted mental-wellness lifestyles for high-performing professionals io improve their resilience, hone their vision or make next-level personal gains while also spending most of his career supporting children, teens and adults in successfully navigating trauma, anxiety, psychosis, depression, autism, impulse‐control challenges or the simple, everyday struggles in their pursuit of healthy modern life. Many of these individuals—usually his favorites!—have been referred to him because they, or those who care about them, have felt that healing wasn’t possible.

Outside the counseling studio, Keith serves as a clinical supervisor, program developer and public speaker, contributing to multiple county‐level initiatives that improve mental health care and reduce stigma barriers so that all people can pursue wellness without fear.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be a rewarding experience--even fun at times!--that always prioritizes your goals. This means we will laugh together, possibly cry together, but always work together to build the enjoyable life that you desire. That life should be grounded in current, data-driven therapy models. It may, and hopefully will, feel like a chat over coffee, but "behind the scenes" we're using cutting edge, trusted science.

What you can expect from me

First sessions are beginnings.

As such they are as different as each client, and they should be. Yet, some things are to be expected: we will discuss the presenting issue(s) with honesty, openness and most importantly, respect for your life and your efforts so far. I will outline options or treatments that have helped others, more like a menu than a planning session, but you will leave that session with a plan and a hope.

Oh, and I'll likely make a joke or two. As I said, some things are to be expected.
