Great to meet you!

My own healing journey comprised psychotherapy, meditation, and Tai-Chi, all of which improved my life considerably. I decided I wanted to help others with the methods that had helped me. From depth psychology to practical problem-solving—I focus on the importance of stories, the stories that people tell themselves about themselves, and the stories that others have told about them, the traumatic stories that won’t go away, and how these stories can be changed.

My approach to therapy

Changing the story can change a person’s feelings and their behavior and reduce their level of suffering. Through talk therapy and mindfulness practice we untangle the complexes that life has dealt us. The overall goal of therapy is to make decisions and engage in behaviors unencumbered by the survival habits and emotional patterns of the past.

What you can expect from me

You tell me what brings you to therapy. I tell you what I have to offer. Are we comfortable with each other? Does it feel like there’s a basis for a good working relationship? There are the initial goals of therapy, such as the reduction of anxiety or depression. Then there are the goals that emerge, such as “What do I really want to do with my life?" and "How can I experience more joy?"
