Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with more than 17 years of experience in behavioral health, including outpatient therapy, crisis intervention, substance use treatment, and clinical leadership. I founded MacNeil Clinical Services to provide practical, compassionate therapy that meets people where they are. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, substance use and recovery concerns, stress, trauma, and major life transitions. My approach is collaborative and straightforward, with a focus on understanding what is getting in the way and developing realistic strategies for meaningful, lasting change. I provide telehealth therapy throughout Massachusetts and strive to create a comfortable space where clients can speak openly without judgment.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and tailored to each person. I believe therapy works best when clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves. I draw from evidence-based approaches while focusing on the individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all model. Together, we work to better understand patterns, identify strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and create meaningful change. I have particular experience working with anxiety, depression, substance use and recovery, trauma, stress, and major life transitions. My style is conversational and straightforward, and I strive to provide a supportive, judgment-free space while also helping clients move toward the goals that matter to them.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is to get to know you, understand what brought you to therapy, and learn what you would like to be different in your life. We’ll talk about what you’re experiencing, what has and hasn’t worked in the past, and begin identifying goals that feel realistic and meaningful to you. I want the first session to feel like a conversation, not an interrogation. There’s no expectation that you share everything at once. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable while beginning to develop a clear direction for our work together. Most importantly, I want you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a sense of where we can go from here.
