Great to meet you!

I’m an LGBTQ-affirming therapist who brings a direct, down-to-earth, and sometimes humorous approach to our work together. I focus on helping adults navigate anxiety and build meaningful connection in ways that feel authentic and doable. My goal is to create a space where you feel supported, challenged when it’s helpful, and always met with honesty and warmth. You can expect a balance of practical strategies, real conversations, and a touch of levity as we move toward your goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is practical, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). With CBT, we work on understanding how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors interact so you can challenge unhelpful patterns and build healthier ones. DBT adds skills for staying present, managing emotions, communicating clearly, and setting boundaries that support your well-being. I bring a direct and occasionally humorous vibe to our work, helping you feel comfortable while keeping things honest and effective. Together, we focus on real-life tools, meaningful insight, and finding strategies that actually fit your life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a thoughtful mix of structure and conversation. We’ll review any assessments you’ve completed so I can get a clear picture of what you’re experiencing. We’ll talk about past relationships and patterns that may still be shaping how you show up today, and we’ll explore your current behaviors to understand what’s working and what isn’t. Most importantly, we’ll focus on the concerns that brought you to therapy so we can begin building a plan that feels supportive, realistic, and tailored to your goals.
