Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm so glad you're here! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Supervisor with almost 20 years experience as a therapist. The majority of my career has been in non-profit settings, supporting trauma survivors as they navigate their healing process. I lead a team of other therapists in a non-profit setting and supervise other social workers towards their clinical licenses. I have supported adults in private practice over the last few years as well. In addition to trauma my specialty areas include anxiety, depression, and grief. I have additional experience supporting parenting struggles, relationship dynamics, women's mental health, and infertility challenges.

My approach to therapy

I am a very down to earth therapist, with the core belief that the therapeutic relationship is unique and that the therapeutic space is sacred. My role is to support you in becoming the best version of yourself, while helping you identify circumstances, beliefs, values, and expectations that both help and hinder this process along the way. I am certified in Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques are central to my practice, and I also incorporate Strengths-Based and Person-Centered strategies throughout, often with a touch of Gestalt Therapy as well.

What you can expect from me

The therapy experience should be one of the utmost trust and emotional safety. My goal as a therapist is to provide a space of competent compassion with gentle reflection and encouragement towards growth for my clients. This space is about you and your goals and values. I am here as a sounding board and as a guide to engage you fully in your journey. As trust builds, challenging unhelpful patterns and thought processes will be incorporated to fully incorporate the true dynamics that bring about change. You can do hard things while finding self-compassion along the way.
