Great to meet you!

I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling and Guidance from Texas A&M University–San Antonio and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas. My professional experience includes work in group counseling, addiction treatment, and telehealth services, where I have been providing therapy for the past six years.

My primary therapeutic approach is Person-Centered Therapy, as I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful growth and lasting change. I strive to create a supportive environment where clients feel respected, understood, and valued through empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. Taking the first step toward counseling requires courage, and I am honored to support clients as they begin their journey toward healing and wellness. I believe that the effort and commitment invested in the counseling process can lead to meaningful and positive change.

I have experience working with adults who are facing challenges related to anxiety, trauma, grief, PTSD, suicidal ideation, and depression. Additionally, I help clients navigate relationship concerns, parenting challenges, career transitions, and everyday stressors. Together, we work to develop effective coping strategies and practical tools that promote emotional well-being and improve overall quality of life.

Above all, I am passionate about helping people. My goal is to meet each client where they are and provide support in a way that best serves their unique needs. Whether through active listening, guidance, or collaborative problem-solving, I am committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and goals.

I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your path toward growth, healing, and personal fulfillment.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, which means I believe healing and growth occur within a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and understood.

I view therapy as a collaborative process. Rather than telling clients what they should do, I work alongside them to explore challenges, identify strengths, and develop practical tools for managing life's difficulties. I believe each person is the expert on their own life, and my role is to provide guidance, support, and insight as they move toward their goals.

I integrate evidence-based techniques when appropriate while tailoring treatment to each client's unique needs, experiences, and values. Whether a client is struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, relationship concerns, or life transitions, I aim to help them build resilience, increase self-awareness, and create meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my primary goal is to get to know you and understand what has brought you to therapy. We will discuss your current concerns, personal history, strengths, and the goals you hope to achieve through counseling. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share any concerns you may have about the therapeutic process, and determine whether we are a good fit for working together.

I understand that beginning therapy can feel both exciting and overwhelming. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. There is no pressure to discuss anything before you are ready.

Together, we will begin identifying the challenges you are facing and explore ways therapy can support your growth and well-being. By the end of the session, we will discuss your goals, develop an initial plan for treatment, and determine the next steps that best meet your needs.
