Great to meet you!

I'm Kelli Norden-Gilchrist, MA, LPC, NCC, a Licensed Professional Counselor, former firefighter, and wellness coordinator who understands that life can get messy. I specialize in trauma, post-traumatic stress (PTS) injuries, post-traumatic growth, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life's unexpected curveballs. I work with individuals from all walks of life, including first responders, healthcare professionals, and high-performing individuals. My approach is strengths-based, with a healthy dose of grit, helping people recognize what they're capable of, adapt to life's challenges, and establish new baselines for what it means to thrive. Whether the dumpster is actually on fire- or it feels that way- I'm here to help you find some calm in the chaos.

My approach to therapy

My approach is straightforward, compassionate, and collaborative, with a little humor when appropriate. I believe therapy should be more than just talking about what's wrong; it's about understanding patterns, building practical tools, and making meaningful changes in your everyday life. I use evidence-based approaches, including EMDR and trauma-informed strategies, tailored to your individual needs. I'll meet you where you are, but I'll also challenge you when needed because growth doesn't always happen inside our comfort zones.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about getting to know each other, understanding what brings you in, and figuring out what you'd like to accomplish. You don't need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to start; we'll work through that together. I'll ask questions, listen without judgment, and help you begin connecting the dots while making sure you feel comfortable and heard. Expect an honest, relaxed conversation with a little humor when appropriate, and absolutely no pressure to unpack your entire life in one hour.
