Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Kelly! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board-Approved Supervisor (LCSW-S) providing therapy for children, teens, and adults in Richmond, TX.

My clinical background is rooted in trauma-informed and attachment-based care, with specialized training in EMDR and Child-Centered Play Therapy. I work with clients navigating anxiety, OCD, ADHD, grief, trauma, self-esteem, perfectionism, and life transitions.

I especially enjoy working with children and teens as they learn to understand themselves and navigate challenges, as well as young adults finding their footing through different stages of life. I believe everyone deserves a space where they can feel understood, accepted, and supported as they work through whatever brings them to therapy.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is individualized and rooted in the belief that a strong therapeutic relationship is essential for meaningful change. I take an attachment-based, trauma-informed approach and focus on understanding what’s underlying a client’s struggles rather than just addressing symptoms.

I integrate evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, ERP, CBT, DBT, and ACT, alongside creative interventions such as play therapy and sand tray. The methods I use depend on each client’s needs and developmental stage.

I believe therapy should provide space for clients to better understand themselves while also helping them build the skills needed to navigate challenges and create lasting change.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll discuss your current concerns, relevant background, and what you’re hoping to gain from treatment. I’ll also explain what the therapeutic process may look like and answer any questions you have.

There’s no expectation to share everything right away. My priority is to create an environment where you feel comfortable and respected, and we can begin building trust at your own pace.

For children, the initial process may involve more parent or caregiver input, with an emphasis on building rapport through play and developmentally appropriate activities. Together, we’ll begin identifying treatment goals and determining an approach that fits your needs.
