Consultation: All new clients begin with a required 15-minute phone consultation to ensure your needs align with my clinical scope. I do allow for a 30 minute time slot if needed.
Evaluation: If we move forward, our first session is a 60–75 minute evaluation to determine if my clinical approach and the virtual outpatient platform are a good fit for your specific needs.
Level of Care & Referrals: Complex psychiatric histories (e.g., active psychosis, frequent hospitalizations, or high-acuity needs) require a level of coordination—such as in-person monitoring—that exceeds the scope of this virtual practice. If a higher level of care is necessary for your safety, I will refer you to the Massachusetts Behavioral Health Help Line (833-773-2445).
Safety & Privacy: Sessions are strictly prohibited while you are operating a vehicle or in a public setting. We will immediately terminate and reschedule the session if you are not in a private, stationary location.
Controlled Substances & ADHD Management: I prioritize long-term safety and functional stability. All controlled medications are managed within a rigorous, evidence-based framework that includes regular PMP reviews and a focus on the lowest effective dose for functional improvement. I do not offer initial evaluations for the sole purpose of an ADHD diagnosis or stimulant initiation. ADHD-related concerns are evaluated only within the context of an established clinical partnership and a thorough, multi-session diagnostic review. Furthermore, I do not provide refill-only appointments, nor do I inherit high-dose stimulant or benzodiazepine regimens. For patient safety, these medications require close monitoring and periodic in-person evaluations; as a 100% virtual practice, I am unable to provide the level of oversight necessary for high-dose or complex controlled substance management.
