Great to meet you!

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist, a licensed mental health counselor, an approved clinical supervisor, and a nationally certified counselor. I have been a counselor educator and licensed counselor for 16 years, and I am currently an associate professor. I have many peer-reviewed journal publications, two co-authored textbooks, book contributions, and presentations at the national and state levels. I have extensive training in various therapeutic modalities and working with diverse clients.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy with clients is to empower, encourage, and enhance your innate ability to overcome challenges. I will assist you in exploring your thoughts and beliefs to maximize change, allowing each client to work towards a uniquely healthy, happy, and hopeful future.

What you can expect from me

My clients should always expect a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I will work with you to identify your goals and develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs and preferences. I will use evidence-based practices, assess your symptoms, measure progress, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions. I will also communicate regularly to ensure that we are on the same page and that you are comfortable with the direction of therapy.
