Great to meet you!
I’ve felt called to become a therapist since I was nine years old, and that sense of purpose has stayed with me ever since. I began my career in a community mental health setting, where I worked closely with individuals experiencing severe mental illness and learned the importance of practical, real-life coping skills. That experience continues to shape my approach today—I focus on helping clients build insight, develop tools they can actually use, and feel more confident navigating their relationships and daily lives.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy slowing things down and staying grounded through gardening, crocheting, and camping. I’m also a big reader—especially when it comes to romance novels. Family is a central part of my life, and I value the many roles I hold as a wife, mother, stepmother, and grandmother. Raising both boys and girls—including twins—has given me a wide range of life experiences that help me connect with clients from all kinds of backgrounds.
With over 10 years in the counseling field—including eight years in community mental health—I’ve had the opportunity to work with clients from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of concerns. That experience has strengthened my ability to meet people where they are and adapt therapy to fit their individual needs.
I’m a Certified Adult ADHD Specialist and also hold a “Food is Medicine” certification, which allows me to take a more holistic approach by considering both mental and physical wellness. I believe these pieces are deeply connected and can play an important role in overall healing and functioning.
Clients often tell me they appreciate my conversational, down-to-earth style. I aim to create a space that feels natural and comfortable—where you can talk openly, feel understood, and know you’re supported without judgment. My focus is on helping you gain practical tools, build insight, and make meaningful, lasting changes in your daily life.
