I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a background in psychological research. As a clinician passionate about destigmatizing mental health, I prioritize creating a space that affirms each person's background and experiences. My experience includes working with adult autism, men's/women's issues, and relationship challenges.
I primarily work with adults of all ages for concerns related to: anxiety, depression, pornography use, problematic sexual behaviors, stress management, relationship issues (i.e., sex), and trauma. The populations I serve include pre-trial and post-conviction, neurodiverse, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and veterans.
My graduate studies focused on Forensic and Legal Psychology, as well as Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I also specialize in sex offender treatment and psychosexual evaluations as a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider.
In the therapeutic relationship, we are equals, but I am not afraid to challenge you and offer different perspectives! I love creating a space where people feel comfortable being themselves and discovering more about who they are.
My therapeutic style is grounded in Humanistic and Existential approaches, but I also utilize other techniques to tailor my approach to client needs, such as CBT, Solution-Focused, and Trauma-Informed. I enjoy focusing on people's values through a strengths-based lens that fosters self-compassion in your journey toward real change.
I aim to empower clients and work collaboratively as equals, while maintaining cultural awareness and sensitivity. I value communication, patience, empathy, and optimism in getting to know my clients and establishing a strong therapeutic alliance. I will do my best to provide you with a safe and non-judgmental space and ensure we work towards your goals. I look forward to working with you!
