Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Kelly, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts and Iowa. For the past five years, I’ve worked in school-based mental health and private practice, supporting children, adolescents, families, and adults through a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. I believe therapy should feel like a safe, welcoming space where you can be yourself, feel heard, and work toward meaningful change at your own pace. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and strengths-based, and I strive to meet each client where they are while helping them build on the strengths they already have.

My approach to therapy

I take a person-centered approach to therapy, meeting each client where they are and creating a space where they feel heard, supported, and comfortable being themselves. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, so I draw from a variety of evidence-based techniques and modalities based on each client’s individual needs and goals. Depending on what feels most helpful, this may include approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-focused interventions, and other strengths-based techniques. My goal is to work collaboratively with each client to find what works best for them and help them feel more confident navigating life’s challenges.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where there is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with. We’ll talk about your goals, what you’re hoping to get out of therapy, and what feels most important to you, while working together to determine how I can best support you. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, comfortable, and hopeful about the work we can do together.
