Great to meet you!

Great to meet you! I'm Dr. Kelly Huffman, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Adult-Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. I've been practicing in many different areas of medicine including internal medicine, meeting both physical and mental health needs since 2014 as a nurse practitioner. I work with individuals of all ages, and my niche is in caring for people struggling with depression, anxiety, and panic disorder.

I understand that everyone struggles with something. Our society has developed myths and placed certain conditions in the mental health category, but as a provider, I believe in treating each patient as an individual first without judgment and then focusing on how to help them improve their life. No story is the same and each story carries so much importance! Each one of us has a story, and I'm here to help you in yours with kindness, understanding, and without judgment.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, patient-centered, and grounded in the belief that everyone deserves to be met exactly where they are. I firmly believe in meeting you right where you are! In revealing the areas of your life that you feel you're struggling the most in, without judgment, I work right alongside you in developing a plan that works best for you.

I specialize in medication management and supportive therapy to support what I believe will help you feel better. I combine my background in primary care with my psychiatric expertise to provide comprehensive mental health support that considers the whole person, not just symptoms. Whether that includes medication management, lifestyle changes, or a combination of approaches, I'll work with you to find what brings you comfort and healing.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we'll talk about what brought you in, your mental health history, your physical health, and what you're hoping will change. I'll ask questions to understand your full story so we can build a treatment plan that makes sense for you.

You can expect a warm, judgment-free environment where you feel heard and valued. It is often hard to seek help but much easier when you are not judged. My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling supported, hopeful, and clear about the path forward. I'm honored to walk alongside you on this journey.
