Great to meet you!

I have been a counselor for nearly 30 years professionally, but some say I thought like I was a counselor since I was 6 years old. I have worked with college students for half of my career and all ages of adults later in my years. I have experience helping with stress, depression, anxiety, relationships, trauma, motivation, self esteem, & confidence.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am practical in my approach and creative in finding solutions to problems. I teach skills that help you find solutions that work for you. I practice cognitive behavioral and solution-focused therapy but will use other types of therapy if and when they are needed and more appropriate for clients.

What you can expect from our first session

I have a sarcastic sense of humor but like people to leave my sessions feeling like they just had a great conversation with someone. I validate feelings and help people understand why they may be feeling what they are experiencing. We work toward your goals, not mine, and we do that as effectively and efficiently as possible.
