Great to meet you!

I am Kelly Rice, MA, LPC-S, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor serving individuals and families in Livingston, Texas. I have extensive experience providing individual, family, and group counseling and am committed to creating a personalized and supportive therapeutic experience for each client.

I understand that reaching out for counseling can feel difficult, and I believe finding a therapist you feel comfortable with is an important part of the process. My goal is to provide a welcoming, respectful environment where clients can openly discuss their concerns, identify their strengths, and work toward meaningful change. I work with clients experiencing a variety of emotional, behavioral, relationship, and life challenges, tailoring treatment to each person's individual needs and goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I believe counseling works best when clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I work to understand each client's experiences, concerns, strengths, relationships, and goals.

Together, we identify areas where change may be helpful and develop practical strategies for moving forward. Depending on the client's needs, therapy may focus on developing healthier coping skills, improving communication and relationships, managing difficult emotions, recognizing unhelpful patterns, strengthening personal resources, and creating realistic steps toward positive change.

Above all, I strive to provide a comfortable and nonjudgmental space where clients can be themselves while doing meaningful therapeutic work.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin identifying what you would like to accomplish through counseling. I will invite you to share what brought you to therapy, what has been happening in your life, and any concerns or challenges you would like to address.

We will discuss your history, current needs, strengths, and goals while beginning to develop a treatment plan that feels realistic and meaningful to you. You are also encouraged to ask questions and share what you need from the therapeutic process.

You do not have to arrive at your first session knowing exactly what to say or where to begin. My role is to help guide the conversation and create a supportive, respectful environment where we can determine the best path forward together.
