Kelly Shelton

Hi there and welcome! I have practiced as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2013. I have worked in a variety of settings such as with at risk children and families, behavioral health hospitals, private practice, incarcerated individuals, and the military population. I participate in a variety of continuing education opportunities so that I am constantly aware of new therapy modalities and trends. Areas of treatment that I like to explore with clients are mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma Informed-Care, to name a few.

My approach to therapy is to create a safe and supportive space for you. I want to ensure that you feel heard, valued, and understood. Whether you are facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and/or life transitions, I will help to empower you in building resilience and coping skills. My approach is holistic, while not only considering the psychological, but also social, cultural, and environmental factors affecting well-being.

What you can expect from your sessions with me is a new sense of hope and practical solutions. I will assist with exploring resources and services that promote healing and stability.
