Great to meet you!

Transitioning out of the military, I initially set my sights on a career in law. However, after my first year of law school, I realized that the personal, meaningful impact I hoped to make wasn't in the courtroom. That realization led me to psychology, where my work is driven by a deep sense of hope. Nothing in this field is more rewarding than the moment a client realizes real change is possible—and recognizes that they are the one making it happen.

Everyone has the capacity to grow and change at any stage of life, but no one has to figure it out alone. When we get stuck—whether in anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or unhelpful patterns we can’t quite see on our own—it can feel impossible to find a way forward. My goal is to work alongside you with empathy and collaboration, building a secure, trusting space where you can gain clarity, overcome obstacles, and reach the life you want.

My approach to therapy

My practice is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)—two evidence-based approaches that offer practical, actionable tools for meaningful change. By blending CBT’s focus on reframing unhelpful thought patterns with ACT’s emphasis on mindfulness and core values, I help clients navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and resilience. To meet your unique needs, I also integrate insights from Family Systems, Narrative, and Attachment theories. People reach out to therapy when they are ready for a shift, and I consider it a privilege to guide and support you through every step of that dynamic process.

Therapy is not a venting session. I'll challenge long-held beliefs, point out blind spots, and ask sensitive questions that help me help you. I may make you uncomfortable at times, but my goal is always your goal, and I'll do everything to make self-disclosure feel safe.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is all about setting a comfortable foundation. We’ll review confidentiality, cover some standard intake questions, and—most importantly—get to know each other to see if we’re the right fit for your journey. You can expect me to do far more listening than talking as you share your story. While I do have a penchant for terrible jokes, please know that laughing at them is entirely optional!
