Great to meet you!

I am a New York State licensed psychiatrist and I have been practicing since 2018. I completed my undergraduate education in Biology and Sociology at the University of Arkansas and completed my medical education and residency training in Clinical Psychiatry at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. For 8 years, I was an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine, primarily treating young adults through the Student and Trainee Mental Health Program. I have two years of experience treating serious mental illness in the acute inpatient setting at Mount Sinai Hospital. I received additional psychotherapy training and earned a certificate in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy through the Psychoanalytic Association of New York, NYU Grossman School of Medicine.

My approach to therapy

I practice general adult psychiatry and have special interest in psychodynamic, insight-oriented therapy, and in the pharmacologic treatment of ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and insomnia. I also have training in the behavioral treatment of insomnia with CBT-i.

What you can expect from me

You may look like you have it together on the outside, but inside something feels stuck. Maybe your relationships keep following the same painful patterns. Maybe anxiety or low mood quietly drains your energy and confidence. You might find yourself overthinking conversations, struggling to focus, or wondering why certain emotions feel so intense. Part of you wants things to change, yet it’s hard to understand why these patterns keep repeating—or how to shift them.

Without space to slow down and make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, these struggles often continue to echo through relationships, work, and everyday life. The same frustrations can resurface again and again. In our work together, we take a thoughtful, collaborative approach to understanding the deeper patterns shaping your experiences. Through insight-oriented therapy and careful medication management when helpful, we focus on helping you understand yourself more clearly, develop new ways of relating, and create meaningful change that feels authentic and lasting.

If this resonates with you, I invite you to reach out. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation where we can briefly talk about what’s bringing you in, answer any questions you may have, and see whether working together feels like a good fit. Finding the right therapist matters, and this is a simple first step toward the kind of change you’re hoping for.
