Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in depth-oriented therapy with people eager for sustainable change. I have over 7 years of experience working with individuals healing from trauma, wrestling with deep rooted anxieties, and navigating major life transitions. Other specialties include family of origin difficulties, attachment/intimacy related issues, and working with couples (EFT framework).

A bit about my approach to therapy

I aim to understand my clients in all of their complexities, and develop with them a compassionate and deep appreciation for the many parts of their emotional experience. I work from a psychodynamic, interpersonal, emotion-focused framework, and strive to meet each individual where they are with the tools and skills they may need at that moment in time.

What you can expect from our first session

At the onset of therapy, we will work to understand your current struggle - where you might be getting stuck or repeating a familiar self-defeating pattern. We will honor the emotions present and really tune in to understand the root cause and how we can attend to those fears or past hurts. The therapy space will be exploratory, where we begin to name previously unstated inner experiences to give you more awareness and choice as you work towards creating the life you want. We'll begin to relate to previously shamed or ostracized parts of yourself differently, with curiosity and compassion, and those tightly held painful beliefs or fears will loosen their grip and make space for new possibilities.
