Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Kelly. I have been a psychotherapist for 33 years, and I consider it a privilege to support people through meaningful periods of change and healing. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology in Spanish from the University of Evansville. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in child protective services. At the same time, I worked full-time, attended school full-time, and raised two children. I am very proud of that experience, and it continues to shape the resilience, determination, and compassion I bring to my work.

I specialize in trauma therapy and have experience supporting adults with dissociative disorders, personality disorders, autism, and other complex concerns. I also provide comprehensive assessments and diagnoses when appropriate. I work with individuals, couples, and families age 18 and older, and I am proud to be an ally to the Queer community. Clients often appreciate my authenticity and realness. I use humor when it feels helpful, kindness throughout the process, and a gentle ear to listen. I am talkative when conversation is useful and quiet when you need space. I do not treat substance use disorders.

My approach to therapy

My approach begins with unconditional positive regard. I believe clients deserve to feel safe, comfortable, respected, and as accommodated as possible in therapy. Creating that kind of environment makes it easier to be vulnerable, explore difficult experiences, and begin moving toward healing.

I offer compassionate, supportive, and collaborative care. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I will work with you to understand your experiences, identify your goals, and build an effective treatment plan together. I see therapy as a team effort, and I want you to feel heard, understood, and actively involved in the direction of your care.

What you can expect from me

You can expect warmth, enthusiasm, compassion, and support. Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other, talk about what brings you to therapy, and begin identifying what you hope to change or better understand. We will move at a pace that feels manageable for you, and you will not be expected to share everything before you are ready.

I find great joy in learning about new people and creating a treatment plan together. My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling welcomed, emotionally safe, and hopeful about the work ahead.
