Great to meet you!

What I would like you to know about me is that I am genuine, kind, and matter-of-fact. As a person, I am creative, insightful, a deep thinker and feeler. I offer a safe place to explore oneself, am reflective upon myself and interactions with others, and hold to boundaries in the softest way possible. My own life experiences have deepened my compassion for others and my desire to help you feel understood and supported. I work best with those who have experienced relational trauma (often C-PTSD), anxiety, depression, interracial relationships, grief, or spiritual/religious abuse.

My approach to therapy

With over 15 years of experience my approach to therapy with individuals consists of specialized strategies to managing daily stressors, increased knowledge of how to complete the stress cycle as well as rewiring your nervous system and brain of root issues. I am creative in how I approach therapy; utilizing somatic, integrative, and experiential modalities that enhance the mind-body connection. Additionally, I am certified in Domestic Violence, Tholage Neuropsychotherapy (a somatic trauma modality), and a Certified Integrative Mental Health Provider who can educate on utilizing nutrition, herbal and somatic practices to enhance therapy. I often prompt you to make your own insights, help you focus on where you are progressing, and offer a non-judgmental listening ear.

What you can expect from me

The first session typically entails getting to know you and some of your life story, what you are looking for in a therapist and in therapy, and where you are getting stuck. Everyone comes to therapy with expectations. Together, we’ll focus on helping you identify and express what you need beyond the symptoms that brought you here. And of course, it is totally normal to feel nervous or uncertain in the first session!
