Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Kelsey Maestas, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful change. I offer a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel safe exploring your experiences and working toward your goals.

I specialize in working with adults and teens dealing with anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. My therapeutic approach is integrative and evidence-based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and person-centered techniques—always tailored to meet your unique needs.

I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and have experience supporting individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. I’m especially passionate about helping clients develop healthier coping strategies, build emotional resilience, and cultivate greater self-awareness.

Whether you're seeking support for mental health, navigating recovery, or working through major life changes, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion and encouragement.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered. I believe that each person is the expert in their own life, and I aim to create a space where clients feel safe, seen, and empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors without judgment. I meet clients where they are and work at a pace that feels supportive and respectful of their needs.

I integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques to help clients develop practical skills for coping with anxiety, depression, addiction, and life transitions. I also draw from a strength-based perspective, helping clients recognize their inner resources and build resilience as they navigate change.

I value authenticity and connection in the therapeutic relationship and strive to create a space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported as they move toward greater emotional well-being and personal growth.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where they feel safe to be themselves and explore their challenges openly. Together, we’ll work on identifying goals that are meaningful to you—whether that’s managing anxiety, overcoming addiction, improving relationships, or navigating life transitions.

Throughout our work, I’ll help you develop practical skills and coping strategies grounded in evidence-based therapies like CBT and DBT. My focus is on empowering you to build resilience, increase self-awareness, and create lasting change that fits your unique life and values.

By the end of our sessions, many clients report feeling more confident in managing stress, better equipped to handle difficult emotions, and clearer about their personal goals and the steps to achieve them.
