Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Kelsey, a licensed clinical psychologist offering in-person therapy in Berkeley and virtually across California. I specialize in PTSD and body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs). With extensive training at the VA, I provide evidence-based treatments for PTSD, including prolonged exposure, cognitive processing therapy, and brief therapy for nightmares. And, as a member of the BFRB community, I bring compassion and understanding to help those with hair-pulling and skin-picking behaviors.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, warm, and authentic. As a CBT therapist, I will work with you to develop practical strategies that fit your needs. I believe in creating a supportive environment where we can tackle challenges together, helping you move toward meaningful change and personal growth. Whether you're addressing trauma or managing body-focused repetitive behaviors, we'll take a step-by-step, goal-oriented approach to support your healing.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients working with me can expect a focused and supportive environment where real change is possible. For PTSD, I typically see significant symptom reduction within 6 to 12 weeks as we work through evidence-based treatments. For those with body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), my approach is comprehensive, addressing both behavioral strategies and the emotional aspects like shame and how these behaviors impact relationships. Together, we'll explore tools for lasting change and healing.
