Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Kelsey, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) licensed in Louisiana. My path to psychiatry began at the bedside, where years in surgical and neuroscience critical care taught me that true healing goes far beyond treating a diagnosis. I believe in treating the whole person - mind, body, and spirit - and that belief is the foundation of everything I do at Restoration Psychiatry.

I earned my MSN from the University of South Alabama, BSN from LSU Health Science Center, my BS in Biological Sciences from LSU. My psychiatric experience spans inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth settings across the Greater New Orleans area.

I offer psychotherapy and medication management for adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, pregnancy and postpartum mood disorders, bipolar disorders, trauma disorders, ADHD, life transitions, codependency, and more. My therapeutic approach draws from cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based approach, and strength-based therapy. I implement faith-based counseling, when desired. My deepest passion is perinatal mental health, supporting individuals through pregnancy and postpartum struggles and mood disorders. As a survivor of pregnancy and postpartum depression and anxiety myself, I bring both clinical expertise and lived understanding to this work.

My style is warm, authentic, and collaborative. I want every patient to feel safe, empowered, and hopeful. You are not alone, and healing is possible.

If you don't see a time in my schedule that works for you, please message me at 985-531-9453 or [email protected] to discuss other possible appointment times.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is holistic, collaborative, and deeply personal. I believe that lasting wellness comes from treating the whole person, not just symptoms, by honoring your unique culture, spirituality, relationships, and lifestyle.

I genuinely enjoy educating my patients.

Understanding your diagnosis and treatment options isn’t just helpful - it’s empowering. I take time to answer your questions, explain your options clearly, and learn what strategies realistically fit your life. Your treatment plan should work for you, not the other way around.

Together, we’ll explore evidence-based therapies, holistic options, and medication management, when appropriate, to build a plan that gives you the tools, confidence, and resilience to move forward and truly thrive.

If you don't see a time in my schedule that works for you, please message me at 985-531-9453 or [email protected] to discuss other possible appointment times.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a conversation, not an evaluation to be nervous about. I want you to come exactly as you are — no preparation needed, nothing to have figured out.

We’ll spend our time getting to know each other. I’ll ask about your history, your current challenges, and most importantly, your goals. What does feeling better actually look like for you? I want to understand not just what you’re struggling with, but who you are as a whole person.

By the end of our first session, you’ll have a clearer picture of what you may be experiencing and an initial treatment plan to build from. Your care will always evolve as we learn what works best for you. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and confident that you are in the right place.

If you don't see a time in my schedule that works for you, please message me at 985-531-9453 or [email protected] to discuss other possible appointment times.
