Great to meet you!

Hi there! My name is Kelsi, and I'm excited to learn more about you. I completed my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lock Haven University, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Pennsylvania and Virginia. I have also earned my board-certification as a National Certified Counselor. Through my experience prior to private practice in intensive in-home family therapy, I have had the privilege of working with kids, teens, parents, adults, couples, and families,

My approach to therapy

I prioritize cultivating an environment of authenticity, warmth, and creativity in the counseling space. I have special interests in working with members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community, untangling the impacts of relational trauma histories, and young adults entering into the adult world. My approach is grounded in person-centered modalities along with interventions including (but not limited to) CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, creative techniques, and Mindfulness.

What you can expect from me

Working with clients ranging from pre-teens to adults, I have observed that all of us have experienced adversity to some degree in our lives and each degree is equally valid. Allowing yourself to begin the process of exploration and vulnerability with a counselor may be an uncomfortable experience. While the growth you are seeking may be a layered and open-ended journey, your counseling relationship and an understanding of relational dynamics will be cornerstones for your adventure.
