Great to meet you!

Hi there! I have 13 years of experience working in the fields of complex trauma and addiction, including treatment centers. My interest in this work comes from lived experience, and when sitting with clients I try to be mindful of the power dynamics inherent to psychotherapy by maintaining a sense of equality and cultural humility. I believe that symptoms have meaning, that the psyche leads the way in the therapeutic process, and that we all have innate self-healing capacities. I think we are often beset by inner conflict between different parts of the self, and learning internal communication and compassion is integral to healing.

My approach to therapy

I am trained in the depth psychology tradition with a focus on trauma informed modalities, attachment theory, existentialism, and relational Gestalt, and have a philosophical foundation of feminism, queer theory, phenomenology, and hermeneutics. (That means that I believe your lived experience is the most valuable part of our work!)

What you can expect from me

I love to work with those from marginalized communities. I am LGBTQIA2S+ and gender nonconforming allied, neurodivergent, and work to maintain my awareness that human beings and our sufferings exist first within social, cultural and historical contexts. I am engaged in community dialogues and practices committed to the disruption of white supremacy.
