Great to meet you!

I am a licensed professional counselor with 20 years of experience in counseling. I have experience with adolescents, adults, couples and families. I work extensively with individuals who have experienced trauma/PTSD, anxiety and depression, as well as a host of other concerns.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am person-centered therapist in that I believe that the counseling relationship is essential to the healing process. I incorporate a variety of techniques and modalities into sessions. I see therapy as a safe space, where clients can gain insight and self awareness into how their thoughts and feelings impact their relationships, choices and quality of life. I am patient, kind and empathic, and I truly believe in the potential of each person I encounter.

What you can expect from our first session

After the first session, my hope is that clients understand the counseling process and informed consent. My hope is to learn a little bit about the client, let them learn a little about me, and that they would walk away feeling affirmed, and hopeful that our time together will be helpful to them. Lastly, I hope that the client leaves the first session feeling motivated and ready to do the work to improve their quality of life.
