Great to meet you!

I’m Kemisha L. Swan, LCSW, and I provide a warm, steady therapeutic environment for clients working through trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I work with individuals, couples, and families, with a particular focus on supporting those who feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from their sense of self. My clinical approach integrates CBT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and trauma‐focused interventions to help clients build clarity, resilience, and emotional balance. I aim to help you not only reduce distress but also reconnect with your strengths, deepen self‐understanding, and move toward a more empowered and grounded version of yourself.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach combines evidence‐based interventions with a deeply supportive, client‐centered style. I work with individuals, couples, and families experiencing trauma, anxiety, relational challenges, and emotional overwhelm. I draw from CBT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and trauma‐informed care to help clients understand their patterns, strengthen emotional regulation, and build healthier ways of coping. Therapy with me focuses on clarity, empowerment, and helping you reconnect with your strengths so you can move forward with confidence and stability.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is for you to feel warm, grounded, and comfortable being yourself. I’ll take time to learn who you are beyond your symptoms—what you’ve been carrying, what feels heavy right now, and what you hope will change.

There’s no pressure to have everything figured out or share everything at once. We’ll begin exploring what brought you to therapy, what you need most, and how I can best support you. I want you to leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the work ahead.
