Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed psychotherapist and author with over 15 years of experience working with individuals navigating anxiety/depression, betrayal, burnout, addiction, anger, relationship challenges, grief, and major life transitions.

In addition to my clinical work, I share mental health insights and practical tools through my social platforms, @thetrudgetherapist, where I focus on helping people better understand their internal experiences and build self-trust. To get to know me a little more you can find my book, “The Trudge Paradox: A Journey into Self-Discovery, Healing, and Transformation,” on Amazon as well.

Much of my work focuses on helping people who feel lost, overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves—often after experiencing a life-changing event and/or periods of prolonged stress, loss, or internal pressure to “hold it all together.”

My background includes working across a variety of clinical settings, which has given me experience supporting a wide range of clients, from high-functioning professionals to individuals rebuilding after significant life disruptions. I have a particular interest in helping clients understand patterns related to overthinking, emotional reactivity, self-criticism, and relationship dynamics.

I work primarily with adults and young adults and focus on areas such as anxiety, depression, stress management, identity development, relationship concerns, trauma healing, and emotional regulation. My goal is to help clients build self-awareness, strengthen self-trust, and develop practical tools that support lasting change so they may finally return, if not create altogether, a life they can call their own.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, practical, and insight-oriented. I integrate mindfulness, somatic awareness, and parts-based work to help clients better understand their internal experiences—thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations—and how these influence behavior and ability to create self-leadership over reaction.

Rather than focusing on what’s “wrong,” we explore what’s happening beneath the surface: what needs are needing attention, what patterns are showing up, what they may be trying to protect, and what’s needed moving forward.

I place a strong emphasis on helping clients slow down their reactions, increase emotional regulation, and respond more intentionally and compassionately in their lives.

Therapy with me often includes both skill-building (such as communication, boundaries, and coping strategies) and deeper exploration of patterns, identity, and personal meaning.

What you can expect from me

The first session is focused on understanding you—your current challenges, your goals, and what’s bringing you to therapy at this point in your life, without having to relive every moment of your past in one session.

We’ll take time to explore what’s been going on, what you’ve already tried, and what you’re hoping will change. I’ll also help you begin to make sense of any patterns or reactions you’re noticing, so you leave with some initial clarity—not just more questions.

You can expect a personalized, conversational, and structured experience. I’ll guide the session while also making space for what feels most important to you. Many clients leave the first session with a sense of connection, a clearer understanding of what’s happening internally, and a few practical ways to begin responding differently right away.
