Great to meet you!

I work with teenagers and adults who are navigating men’s issues, anger, substance use, relationship challenges, and the stress that can come from trying to manage everything on your own. Many of the men I work with struggle with communication, emotional shutdown, frustration, or patterns that are beginning to affect their relationships, work, or sense of self. Others come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward in a healthier way. My goal is to provide a calm, supportive space where you can speak honestly without judgment and begin creating meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

After earning my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Harding Theological School in 2006, I became a Licensed Professional Counselor in Alabama in 2008. I spent 16 years working in the public mental health sector and have also provided counseling through my church throughout my career. My approach is warm, steady, and solution-focused. I frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected while building healthier coping skills and patterns.

What you can expect from me

I strongly believe every person has the ability to grow, heal, and overcome challenges with the right support and tools. In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other, understanding what’s bringing you to therapy, and identifying goals that feel meaningful and realistic for you. My role is to walk alongside you with compassion, perspective, and practical support as you work toward healthier relationships, greater emotional balance, and lasting change.
