Great to meet you!

I work with children, college students, and young adults who may be struggling to find direction, stay motivated, manage emotions, or feel confident in themselves and their future. Many of the individuals I work with feel stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed by stress, or unsure how to move forward in life. Some may be experiencing academic difficulties, relationship challenges, family stress, behavioral concerns, or feeling like they are not living up to their potential. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, recognize their strengths, and begin creating healthier patterns and more meaningful growth.

My approach to therapy

My approach is experiential and relational, using metaphor, storytelling, and real-life experiences to help clients connect past experiences with present challenges in a way that feels meaningful and practical. I believe growth often happens through reflection, controlled risk-taking, and learning how to use personal strengths and support systems more effectively. Together, we work on building coping skills, emotional awareness, resilience, and confidence while identifying realistic steps toward positive change. I often remind clients that growth happens “one step at a time.”

What you can expect from me

In our first therapeutic counseling session, we will focus on several key goals that will set the foundation for the entire therapeutic relationship:

Building Rapport and Safety

Intake and Information Gathering

Clarifying the Presenting Problem

Assessing Risk

Setting Expectations

Collaborative Goal Setting

Diagnostic Impressions

Empowering You

The first session is less about "solving" anything and more about laying the groundwork — for trust, direction, and a collaborative working relationship.
