Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Kendall (he/him). I am a psychotherapist (IMFT) located in central Ohio. My role as a therapist when I work with couples and individuals is to help people understand where they are in their life's journey; determine if they are ok with it and if there are any changes they would like to make to improve their situation. Therapy, for me, is first and foremost about connection. I believe that real healing happens when you feel seen, understood, and supported without judgment. My role is to create a safe, compassionate space where you can bring all of who you are; your struggles, your hopes, your questions, and know that you won’t have to face them alone.

I earned my doctorate from The Ohio State University and my research centers on romantic heartbreak and romantic relationships. I run Begin Again Psychotherapy, LLC and have over 7 years of clinical experience.

My areas of expertise include:

  • Couples therapy (communication struggles, disconnection, trust, intimacy)
  • Life transitions, identity, and meaning-making
  • Consensual non-monogamy
  • Heartbreak and grief
  • LGBTQ+ identities

My approach to therapy

Most couples don't come to therapy because they've stopped loving each other. They come because they're tired of talking past each other, fighting the same fights, or shutting down. My hope is that couples therapy gives you the space, and the tools, to finally slow down and see each other again. I have always felt that the therapeutic journey, both as a therapist and as a client, is a sacred walk towards a deeper understanding of the self. We were never meant to "do life" alone, and owning our story can be hard, but not nearly as hard as spending our lives running from it.

What you can expect from me

Typically, the first session getting to you know you and understanding what is bringing you to therapy at this point in your life. We will discuss your goals for therapy and you will have the opportunity to ask questions. Intake sessions range from 45-60 minutes. All following sessions are typically 45-50 minutes.
