Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Kendall Garton, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology from the University of Houston-Victoria. Since 2020, I’ve worked in both school and private practice settings, specializing in supporting children and teens with anxiety, depression, and trauma, as well as adult women with similar experiences. I tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs, drawing from various therapeutic modalities to foster growth and healing.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client-centered and collaborative, offering affirmation and guidance to help clients feel empowered. I prioritize creating a comfortable, trusting environment where empathy is central to our work. Using techniques such as cognitive-based skills, mindfulness, DBT, and psychoeducation, I tailor each session to the client’s personality and responses, helping them build insight and navigate life’s challenges.

What you can expect from our first session

I take a collaborative, client-centered approach by regularly checking in and valuing your feedback. Creating a safe, nonjudgmental space is my priority, and I tailor therapy using techniques like cognitive and behavioral strategies to support meaningful change. Together, we’ll set goals and track progress, ensuring a pace that feels right for you as I walk alongside you through life’s challenges.
