Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist committed to cultivating a warm and nonjudgmental space where you can feel safe, understood and seen. I believe therapy is a tool to help you engage in meaningful self-exploration, process past pain, navigate current stressors, and identify changes you want to make for the future.

While I have been fortunate to work with a range of individuals coping with a variety of symptoms and life stressors, much of my work has focused on navigating adjustment challenges, coping with loss and bereavement, processing trauma, reducing substance use, and exploring questions of identity. I have worked with LGBTQIA+ clients, veterans, older adults and couples. I have extensive experience working with individuals and family members managing complex medical conditions and associated grief and adjustment challenges. Whatever storm you are currently navigating, I am here to help.

My approach to therapy

My curious, empathic, nonjudgmental approach to therapy offers clients the space to process their stressors, identify effective coping strategies and explore their values and goals. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process where we work together as a team to identify unhelpful patterns of thinking, behaviors that are misaligned with your values and goals, and your innate strengths that will help you make meaningful changes. My approach is flexible and responsive to my client’s needs, and I encourage my clients to take an active role in therapy.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I will take the time to learn about you: what has been happening in your life recently, what brought you into therapy, and what changes you would like to see for yourself in the future. We will work collaboratively to set goals for yourself, so you have a roadmap to navigate treatment. Session structure may vary depending on what we are working on, but a consistent focus will be cultivating and maintaining a supportive and safe relationship.
