Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Kendra. If life has taken a turn you did not plan for, whether that is struggling

to grow your family, an anxiety that will not quiet down, or a relationship that feels

stuck, you do not have to sort it out alone. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in

Illinois, and I work with adults and families who are carrying more than they let on. My

belief is simple: empathy, empowerment, and collaboration are what make therapy

work. You bring what you are facing, and we find the path forward together. When you

are ready, I would be glad to meet you.

My approach to therapy

I practice client-centered care, which means we move at your pace and you stay the

expert on your own life. Much of my work uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, so we

look closely at the thoughts driving how you feel and act, then practice new ones.

When trauma is part of your story, I use Trauma Focused CBT so you can process it

without being overwhelmed by it. For families, Cognitive Behavioral Family Therapy

helps everyone hear each other again, because every person in a family carries stress

differently. And when you know something needs to change but part of you is

resisting, Motivational Interviewing helps you find your own reasons to move.

Sessions are warm, practical, and collaborative.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a conversation, not an interview. We meet by video, from wherever

you feel most comfortable. I will ask what brought you here now, what you have

already tried, and what you want to be different, and you never have to have the

answers ready. Together we will name one or two goals so you leave with a sense of

direction rather than a list of homework. Most people tell me they feel lighter

afterward, and a little relieved that talking was easier than they expected. By the end

you will know what our work together looks like, and you can decide whether I am the

right fit for you.
