Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas with a Master’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University, which I completed in November 2024. My clinical experience includes practicum and internship training, followed by postgraduate clinical experience at Mansfield Counseling, a private practice where I worked with individuals across the lifespan, ages 8 to 65.

I have experience supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, ADHD, relationship difficulties, family challenges, women’s issues, and life transitions. I recognize that each person’s experiences, strengths, and needs are unique, and I strive to provide a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable showing up as their authentic selves.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and individualized. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), compassion-focused practices, and an eclectic approach that allows me to tailor interventions to each client’s needs and goals. I believe clients should have a voice in their therapeutic journey and value their autonomy in identifying what healing, growth, and meaningful change look like for them. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I work alongside clients to explore patterns, build on existing strengths, develop healthy coping strategies, and move toward greater emotional well-being.

I am also comfortable incorporating faith-based perspectives into counseling when desired by the client. I recognize that spirituality and personal beliefs can be meaningful sources of strength, hope, and resilience, and I honor each client’s values and preferences throughout the therapeutic process.

My goal is to help clients feel heard, respected, and empowered as they navigate life’s challenges. I believe therapy is not about having all the answers, but about creating space for self-discovery, building practical skills, and developing the confidence to move forward.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where we begin getting to know one another and building a foundation of trust. I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating or uncomfortable, so I want you to feel heard, respected, and comfortable showing up as your authentic self.

I like to begin by giving you the opportunity to share your story in your own words, including what has brought you to therapy, the experiences that have shaped you, and the challenges you may be navigating. We will explore relevant background information, your current concerns, and how these experiences may be affecting your daily life, relationships, and overall well-being.

We will also discuss what you hope to gain from therapy, the changes you would like to see, and what healing or personal growth might look like for you. Your goals, values, and preferences matter to me, and I believe you should have an active voice in your therapeutic journey. You do not have to have everything figured out before our first session; sometimes, simply beginning to put your experiences into words is an important first step.
