Specializes in

Depression and Trauma

Great to meet you!

My background is in psychiatric settings with adults who were high-functioning and have significant responsibilities. Then one day out of the blue, they find that they can not function. It may be compound grief, crippling anxiety, a depressive episode, shame and/or the surfacing of traumatic memories. It can be all of the above. I know how to handle all of the above problems with the client's help and trust. My style is casual and relational.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Everything begins with a comprehensive psycho-social assessment that will reveal why problems have surfaced at this time. Then I use the following theories and methods:

Cognitive-behavioral Therapy

Dialectical-behavioral Therapy

Rational-emotive Therapy

Therese Rando's theories on grieving

Psychoanalytic

Psychodynamic

What you can expect from our first session

I believe in results and that clients should leave every session with a tool, insight and/or resource that they did not have before the session. The goal is to get you back to your life as soon as possible and that does not have to be years of extensive therapy.
