Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical psychologist based in Los Angeles, California, providing services to clients across the state through telehealth. I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology - Alliant International University, Los Angeles, and a master's degree in psychology from Pepperdine University. My professional experience encompasses clinical supervision of graduate psychology students, conducting research, psychological testing, and teaching doctoral-level courses. I offer therapeutic services for individuals (adults), couples, and families. My specialties include relational health, bereavement (grief and loss), medical trauma, as well as stress and anxiety.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach integrates differentiation (family systems) with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), cultivating a collaborative relationship that acts as a powerful catalyst for change. In this therapeutic process, we embark on a joint journey, where you, the expert in your own life, and I work together to understand and address the challenges you encounter. I engage with clients through genuine curiosity, eager to comprehend their unique experiences and how various contextual factors have intricately shaped their identities and collective narratives.

With empathy and an open heart, I guide clients in uncovering patterns and unresolved issues stemming from the messages, experiences, and practices within their nuclear families. This exploration allows clients to delve into how these lingering concerns influence their thoughts, emotional responses, and interactions with others. Additionally, I am committed to empowering clients to build resilience and enhance their emotional regulation skills, paving the way for them to develop cognitive and psychological flexibility. This newfound flexibility enables clients to take purposeful actions that align with their core values, nurturing meaningful change that leads to more enriching, fulfilling lives.

What you can expect from me

The first session is pivotal in shaping a strong therapeutic relationship. My primary aim is to forge a connection that allows me to understand your experiences and perspectives. By gaining a clear understanding of your concerns, we can collaboratively navigate the pathways that will facilitate your healing and personal growth. Together, we'll tackle your challenges and aspirations for change, rooted in your unique values and viewpoints. We’ll consistently review our focus and track our progress, and I wholeheartedly invite your feedback on my approach. Your insights are not merely important; they are vital to the success of our collaboration.
