Great to meet you!

Have you been so busy taking care of everyone else that you've forgotten to take care of yourself? My name is Dr. Kenji M. Jones, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than a decade of experience helping children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigate life's challenges. I believe therapy should be a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.

My approach is warm, solution-focused, and affirming. I work collaboratively with clients to identify strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and create meaningful change. Whether you are facing a difficult season, navigating a life transition, or seeking greater balance and clarity, I am committed to helping you move forward with confidence, resilience, and purpose.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, solution-focused, and affirming. I believe that every person has strengths, resilience, and the capacity for growth, even during life's most difficult seasons. My goal is to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring their thoughts, emotions, experiences, and goals.

I work collaboratively with clients to identify patterns, build on existing strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and create meaningful change. Rather than focusing solely on problems, I help clients recognize opportunities for growth while gaining practical tools they can apply in their daily lives.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care. Every client is unique, so I tailor treatment to meet each individual's specific needs, goals, and circumstances.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, stress, grief, life transitions, relationship concerns, or personal growth, I strive to help you move forward with greater insight, confidence, and purpose.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my primary goal is to get to know you and understand what brings you to therapy. We will discuss your current concerns, personal history, strengths, goals, and any challenges you may be experiencing. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine whether I am a good fit for your needs.

You do not need to have everything figured out before your first appointment. Many clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or unsure of where to begin. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

By the end of our session, we will work together to identify initial goals and discuss a plan for moving forward. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the therapeutic process.
