Great to meet you!

Hi there, I'm Kenneth!

My name is Ken Dunham. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I approach therapy with the core concept that all humans are "hard-wired" for connection. My counseling style concentrates on a holistic and eclectic approach that looks at the thoughts, feelings, behavior, and beliefs of the client. I regularly use Psycho-education, e.g., Neuroscience, and other types of evidence-based research.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I integrate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solutions Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, the Gottman Method, and Family Systems Therapy. Additional training in trauma, attachment, & working with unwanted sexual behaviors and addictions.

I want clients to feel safe, supported, & emotionally validated. While using a warm, client-centered style, I like to balance empathy with real measurable goals & challenge clients based on their needs and move at their pace.

What you can expect from our first session

The first session looks like a conversation with a purpose. I answer client questions, help the client feel safe, and ask them to explain present problems. I begin the process with a Biopsychosocial assessment with informal interviewing to gather some basic background information and build trust.
