Great to meet you!

As a licensed psychologist in California and Illinois, I hold a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Penn State University. I also serve as a Professor of Psychology training and supervising graduate students. My experience includes counseling roles at the University of Illinois and National Dong Hwa University in Taiwan. I specialize in anxiety, stress, relationships, life transitions, with a focus on perfectionism and cultural adjustment.

A bit about my approach to therapy

In therapy, I help clients recognize patterns and develop practical strategies for meaningful change. Fluent in English and Chinese, I strive to create a supportive, culturally attuned space.

What you can expect from our first session

  • Insight and Empowerment: In our sessions, you can expect to gain deeper insight into your patterns, emotions, and relationships. My goal is to empower you with practical tools and a greater sense of agency, so you can navigate challenges with more confidence and clarity.
  • Healing and Growth: Therapy with me is a space for healing and self-discovery. You'll take away a deeper understanding of yourself, strategies to manage stress and perfectionism, and a renewed sense of direction in your personal and relational life.
  • Cultural Awareness and Self-Compassion: As someone who integrates cultural perspectives into therapy, I help clients unpack the impact of their upbringing and societal expectations. You’ll leave sessions with greater self-compassion, a clearer understanding of your values, and ways to move forward authentically.
